Customer Reviews of Human After All
A tragic let-down... Is what this album was to me. I had thoroughly enjoyed "Homework", and absolutely loved "Discovery", but this album - Daft Punk's 3rd 'full-length' album if you can even call it that - was sheer disappointment to me. Expecting something even greater than that of Discovery, I purchased this album, popped it in my stereo, and for the first minute or so I loved it. <

>It was then I realized that it was the same hook looping over and over. Throughout every track it was the same. Mind you, what they hook you with is stellar, but the fact that none of the songs particularly go anywhere defeats that quality of the album. <

>In short, if you're thinking of purchasing this album, don't. Do yourself a favor and listen to their first two instead.
Repetitive? Yes Catchy? Yes -- You Know You Love It.
When Daft Punk released their first single, Da Funk, it was also repetitive and a great tune. This is their style and they haven't changed anything up. Either you like it or your hate it...but admit it, eventually there is that one or two songs you grow to love. TECHNOLOGIC is an awesome song.
Good songs,played out too long.
Human After All-Builds up to the synth riff after a few bars. The synth riff saves a song that would be utterly boring without it.7/10
<
>The Prime Time Of Your Life-Again,building up to the words, but this time, you almost flip the song before the words, because there isnt much there. And then it turns the synth up to 3000 tempo, and i dont know what happens after that.3/10
<
>Robot Rock-Here is true Daft Punk, right here. This is Harder Better Faster Stronger, combined with Aerodynamic.10/10
<
>Steam Machine-I think they actually sung on this one in real voice, but all it is a whisper of the words "Steam Machine". Intriguing. 9/10
<
>Make Love-This song is for making love, thats for sure. 9/10
<
>The Brainwasher-Interesting. And then,it somewhat becomes a blatant rip off of Homework.Thats not a bad thing though,it gets a 10,because Homework was awesome. 10/10
<
>On/Off-Put on there to make it add up to 10 songs.
<
>Television Rules The Nation-It sounds very demo-ey. But entertaining. 9/10
<
>Technologic-I will never buy an Ipod, until they replace this song with more Feel Good Inc. Ads. 7/10
<
>Emotion-Opens with a MIDI sounding synth riff, and then uses a ripped off part from technologic and a drum, and it goes on for 7 minuites.
<
>All in all,Daft Punk should have made more small songs, and made the 9(not counting the 19 second On/Off) songs much smaller.
