Customer Reviews of Horse Illustrated
Great Magazine for Horse Owners Horse Illustrated is the largest equine publication in America and it serves a great audience--the novice horse owner. It is both entertaining and informative. And it is written for an adult audience, not for "younger riders" as some are saying. It's sister publication, "Young Rider" IS. To the person who wrote in about not having any depth: well, Equus on average has only four features per issue! And you know what one of them was this month? An indepth article on photographs of kids on ponies! Like that's useful? And Horse Journal is boring--unless you want to read pedantic article after article on 87 saddle pads or 55 liniments. <
>Horse Illustrated has more pages than any of these magazines making it a better value. And it's articles are the same lenght and go into the same depth as any of the other magazines out there. <
>I've been reading it for more than 10 years and I think it's great. <
>For Monika who wrote in about the article on "Gypsy Vanner Horses," perhaps you should go back and re-read the article. It was about Gypsy bred horses, and talked about all kinds of cobs and horses, even the Drum horse. People are interested in all kinds of horses, even the ones that you don't approve of. <
>If you are into rodeo, this isn't the magazine for you. If you are an upper level rider, it's not for you either.
Good Magazine
Good articles and reviews. Amazon is the way to buy magazines. SO EASY!
A great magazine
I just got a gift subscription to HI, and when I got the first issue, I was very happy with it. It's a great magazine, with many imformative articles about many prospects of horse ownership. Even if you don't own a horse, it's a great read. My favourite thing in it would have to be the Breed Profile, which also comes with a pull-out poster. If you like horses, then I would highly recomend Horse Illustrated.
