Customer Reviews of History's Undercover - Luftwaffe 1946
Hitler's veageance weapons exposed In today's era of high tech computers, We often take jet aircraft, guided weapons, cruise missiles, ICBMs and, to some extent, stealth for granted. But back in 1945, in the crumbling ruins of the third Reich, this was all revolutionary. And built at a high cost.
Ironically, the same man who ordered the development of these weapons, Adolf Hitler, proved to be a major problem. For example, he had the best fighter in the world, the ME 262, in his possession. A fighter that could fly circles around our bombers. But Hitler wanted jet bombers. But there were also technical problems as well. The lack of vital metals, the heavy allied bombing offensive that never let down and the difficulty procedure to launch a single V-2. The problems of the V-1, Me-163 and Me-262 are also shown. Also, since the ME-262 and Ar-234 used the same engines, there was a fight over the small supply of them.
The weapons themselves are not ignored. Footage, some of which says recently declassified, is shown. And the video not just talks about the ME-262, Me-163, V-1, V-2 or the AR-234, but also about other not so well known designs. Ever hear of the ME-263? How about a manned V-1? Did you know a German bomber once flew within 11 miles of New York undetected? The true irony is that the scientists who designed these weapons later proved so helpful to same people would they were supposed to harm.
Overall, Luftwaffe 1946 shows not just what was, but what could've been.
