Customer Reviews of Healthy Care High Chair - Best Friends Print
not that great I just recently purchased this highchair. I was using the "fisher price infant to toddler highchair" in the jack and jill pattern, and I absolutely loved it but it didn't have wheels, and from sliding it back and forth from the dining room to the kithcen it was tearing up the floor. So I was looking to find a highchair just like it with wheels. I thought this highchair was the closest to it. Wrong. I also have a problem with the ruffle, why would anyone put a cloth ruffle on something associated with babies and food?? The chair pad itself is vinyl thank god, it's easy to wipe down. My daughter is 10 months old and barely fits in this thing, she's an average size baby, but we have to put the tray on the last setting, and it seems like she barely fits in the seat. The toys that come attached to the tray are cute, but that's it. After the first couple of times we used the highchair we took the toys off. She tosses it over the side and spends the whole time trying to get them back up, not good when I'm trying to get food in her mouth and she's hanging over the side of the chair. And they're just one more thing to clean. Which brings me to the tray insert that fits on top of the regular tray. Useless in my opinion. The larger tray gets dirty anyways, so then I have two trays to clean! Finally it does have locking wheels which led me to purchase it in the first place, but the wheels lock by themselves all the time! And the ride is not a smooth one. It's nearly impossible to stear this thing in a straight line. It looks like she's in a bumper car. It pretty much goes wherever it wants! I can't wait until she's old enough to walk and to eat at the table, I'll be pulling my original fisher price highchair back out for her to use, and I'll be putting this one away for the next baby.
I'm only giving it two stars because it's not tearing up my floor and it wasn't very expensive.
This mother of twins loves these highchairs!
I did a lot of research on highchairs and narrowed it down to either the fisher price or babytrend. But after talking to reps about both high chairs and trying them out I think I definitely made the right choice. My 5 month old twins can sit in the chair with the tray pulled up close to their chest. They can also recline which is nice for little ones. The casters and vinyl seat was a must for our family. The seat is easy to clean and it folds for easy storage. I highly recommend this chair. It has all the right features and a reasonable price.
Tray comes off too easily...
This used to be a great highchair. Met all of our needs and worked well. Then our son at about 10/11 mnths figured out how to take off the tray and it's been a pain ever since. The side latches are too close to where a baby's hand can reach. At other houses we've put him in cheap chairs and this is not an issue. So we are going out to get a new chair that doesn't do this or I'll keep picking breakfast/lunch and dinner off the floor. I can't tell you how much food has gone to waste because of this.
