Customer Reviews of HP OfficeJet D135 Multifunction
not the perfect all-in-one device I have purchased this multifunction HP product at CompUSA and fortunally I got the warranty and I had to return it. The reason was problems with the printheads. It worked fine for a while but now I get scanner errors everyday even when I am not using the scanner and I have to shut it off and back to clear the error but later on the same error occurs. One of the reasons I like this product is because of the legal size capability that not all multifunction devices offer. I may have to return this one again (if I find my warranty).
pain to install
I previously had a 900 series installed on WindowsXP. As of this writing, I still do not have the D135 installed. It supposedly has a built-in script to uninstall your 900 series but it balks and does not uninstall and I cannot install the drivers for the D135.
HP Officejet D135 Not bad, but could be better
Since I have a small home office, and not a lot of office space, an all-in-one printer, copier, fax, and scanner fits my needs perfectly. Of the machines that I have tried, I like the HP Officejet the best, but if I had to buy one over again, I would get a laser not inkjet all-in-one. You will spend a lot more money on ink in the long term than with a laser printer. I am still using the b/w laser printer that I bought in 1993, with the original ink toner cartridge. As for the HP Officejet, in less than 2 years and less than 2,000 pages, I have gone through 8 ink cartridges (not surprising for an inkjet), but I am on my second set of print heads. Print heads are very expensive. and are supposed to last much longer than 2,000 pages. If I have to replace the prints again in 2,000 pages, I won't. I will replace this AOI with a laser jet version. Other than the print heads, the printer, scanner, and fax machine have performed very well; as has the HP support staff. In all cases of my calling or using their online chat support, they have resolved my issue, and even emailed me the transcript so I have a copy in case I run into the same problem.
