Customer Reviews of Grilled
Wait a minute! What kind of morons are writing these reviews? Simpletons! This is a classic movie. Maybe these reviewers like these comedians respective TV shows and require a laugh track in order to feel comfortable. This is not a movie for pin headed sit com watchers. I don't watch these guy's TV shows, in fact they are painful to watch, except for the TV wives, but they are great paired up in this movie. It is a great story with great characters. Juliette Lewis is outstanding in her little part! Burt Reynolds is great too. Just a wonderful movie. I will buy this movie for my collection. Great soundtrack too! I came on line to find the soundtrack and was surprised at these idiotic reviews.
Maybe I missed something
Maybe my sense of humor is off, maybe I'm not smart enough to understand the movie or maybe my tolerance for pain is lower than that of certain other people, I dunno. I do know that I ejected the movie after about 20 mins, utterly bored.
An appropriate title describes exactly how I felt
Two salesman played by Kevin James and Ray Romano go
<
>door-to-door trying to persuade consumers to buy their
<
>line of high quality steaks. A great premise with comical
<
>actors; unfortunately the director wasn't able to tap into
<
>their comedic abilities, and what we get is a slow, unfunny,
<
>depressing journey that barely holds your attention. If the
<
>director set out to create a mundane film then kudos to him.

<
>Romano goes for a different look with the beard and is less
<
>whiny than his character in Everybody Loves Raymond and
<
>Kevin James is his usual self. I can't comment
<
>on the performance of Reynold's since I ejected the DVD about
<
>40 minutes into it. I consider this rental a waste of $4.86 and
<
>a threat to my emotional well being, since at certain times
<
>during viewing I considered stepping into traffic.
