Customer Reviews of Grand Tour: Music from 16th and 17th Century Italy, Spain and Germany
Great introduction to a fabulous ensemble This is a wonderful recording of some very entertaining and enjoyable music. Composers like Scheidt, Marini and Buonamente are represented here.
If you haven't heard a cornett and sackbut (the early trombone) ensemble before, this CD would be a good place to start. I warn you, you'll get addicted!
I am very fond of this recording because I heard some of these pieces played live by this group in Melbourne in 1993. What a wonderful night that was!
