Excellent magazine
GOOD Magazine is an interesting new magazine that's been an excellent solution for what to give for birthday presents this year. It's the only magazine I sit down and read just about cover to cover even though I'm older than its young staff and their targeted readers. GOOD has articles on a wide range of topics I'm interested in - politics, environment, media, and social entrepreneurship. It's informative and witty, socially conscious but not too predictable. I especially like the Transparency section because they use graphics to present data and highlight issues such as the difference between Sunnis and Shiites; who has nuclear weapons and how many; corporate sponsorship of the corn to coca cola process; taxes and where they go; and the average costs of weddings. The subscription money is well spent.
Magazine with STUFF not FLUFF
This publication really and truly stands out. It really shakes the magazine industry, and I am in no way affiliated with it. I found it on a newsstand when it came out in 2006.
<
>It is informative, honest and has a really, really neat section in the middle of the magazine that is just infographics. It's a great way to share information and make a point.
<
>The publication covers 'things that matter,' and it really does.
