Customer Reviews of Gods, Gangsters and Gamblers/Triad Affairs
Warning about previous review Given that reviewer F. Sison seems to only review products from Ventura Distribution, and seems to give 5 stars to products that other reviewers give 1 star and describe as "unwatchable", I would recommend taking his recommendation of this product with a serious pinch of salt. <
> <
>I'm told that this release is a repackaging of the old Hong Kong films "Don't Fool Me" and "Century Of The Dragon". These films have NOTHING TO DO WITH INFERNAL AFFAIRS, and anybody expecting a similar experience is sure to be disappointed. Given Ventura's track record, I would expect these to be poor quality releases of the films too, and most likely unlicensed. <

>So, buy the set if you want, but be warned that you may not get what you expect.
Rare Hong Kong action
Infernal Affairs is a landmark series and this double feature gives us a glimpse into the evolution of Hong Kong movies that led to this point.

<
>The first film,Triad Affairs is a gangster comedy with all the leads from Infernal Affairs.
<
>It's interesting to see them in roles different from the characters in Infernal Affairs.

<
>The second film,Gods,Gangsters and gamblers is a John Woo style gangster shoot `em up that is terrific.

<
>Loads of bonus fetaures on both Andy Lau and Tony Leung including music videos, behind the scenes footage and even some short films they made during the SARS epidemic.
<
>There's a great short film Andy Lau did for a watch company that's very cool.
<
>This is a bit high priced but well worth it for Hong Kong action fans!
