Customer Reviews of Glider Rocker Chair - Pecan Wood - Khaki Microfiber
Great glider! I've found this glider much more comfortable than some others and quite sturdy. The back slants back so that you are not sitting straight up and the material is quite comfortable. The padding on the arms and side covers are a nice bonus too...great chair.
Great price - bad chair
I sat in the chair for 1 minute at the store before I bought it, which was a mistake (I have since returned it). It was easy to assemble, looked great, and seemed like a great deal. BUT...after sitting in it for 5 minutes, my lower back was killing me. There's absolutely no back support, which is critical when you plan to spend so much of your day in it. It also sat almost straight up which seemed OK at the store, but when you think about holding a baby at night, a little recline would be nice. My advice: pay a little more and get something nicer.
Very poor quality Jardine glider
I bought this glider from Babies R Us when my son was almost 2 months old. It felt comfy enough and worked okay for a few months. Then, the arms popped off while I was rocking one day. My husband used a couple of nails (was held together by wooden pegs and glue) and hammered it back in. A few days later, the back suddenly reclined about 3 inches while I was rocking the baby. My husband took the whole thing apart, reassembled, and added some screws. The arms popped off again shortly thereafter. For the next few months, it was a constant struggle to keep the thing together. Babies R Us couldn't/wouldn't take it back, so I thought I was stuck. I finally called the manufacturer (Jardine) and they arranged for me to exchange it through BRU. When I took it in, the employees told me that they try to dissuade people from purchasing Jardine gliders because they rarely last (no one tried to dissuade me). It was very comfy, but after lots of rocking, all the screw holes were stripped and most of the wooden pegs were sheared off in the holes.
