I like my glider
Well, I have to admit--on occasion my glider has started to creak. I'm concerned now about the slats on the sides of the glider and matching ottoman--I'm invisioning tiny fingers poked in there. However, so far I have really enjoyed my glider. It's cushy, comfortable and has nicely padded sides. The blue is gorgeous and matches the nursery well. It glides very well and effortlessly. There are definitely nicer ones out there--ones that have a better chance of making it 20 years down the road. But we could not afford a $450 glider and then another $100 for the ottoman. So far (5 months) this glider has been great.

Buyer Beware - Poor craftsmanship
While initially we really liked this glider - the price was ideal, the color matched the nursery, and it was certainly comfortable, after 2 months of almost daily use, the seat cushion began to flatten, and became rather uncomfortable. I placed a piece of foam under the seat to make it more comfortable-after such a short period of time, this should not have happened.

By the 3rd month of use, the seat back cracked, and was no longer able to be attached securely to the seat bottom. This was very dangerous, as we could have fallen off the glider with our infant in our arms.

My husband tried to repair the damage, however, the screws were stripped. After careful review of the glider we saw how poorly the glider seat back was attached to the bottom. Babies R Us graciously accepted this as a return, however, we were allowed to only exchange it for another glider, luckily we found one with much better workmanship that we have not had any problems with.

Warning
We purchased an entire set of Jardine baby's room furniture. It is indeed beautiful and most of it is well made. The Glider however, is not one of those items. We have been using the set for 4 months now and have heard the glider crack on several occasions. I attributed it to glued joints freeing-up and made a mental note of my upcoming need to investigate further. This morning, making further investigation, I noticed that the joint where the backrest sets into the base is broken.

Concerning the cushion: The material at the center is of poor quality and does not last. We have been sitting on a flat cushion for nearly 2 months now.
