Eh..... Well, I like Nick Cage, but I was never a reader of Ghost Rider, so I was able to go into this film with an open mind and no preconceived notions. <

Eve Mendez (va-voom!) plays Cage's love interest, but she's really nothing more than eye candy. Her character really doesn't have anything to do and her characterization has no real depth. No joke, and I'm not trying to be funny. It really was that bad. The only people giving this movie good reviews are kids and people who lie to themselves thinking that this is a good movie. No, I've never read the comic book, but who cares. People can't use the excuse, "well, you just don't get it cause you never read the comic". NO! This is an awful movie, period. With or without the comic book knowledge Mark Steven Johnson should stop making movies. He made daredevil horrible and now this horrible "film" if you can even call it that.
Ghost Rider, Finally a comic book hero to be Proud of!
Finally, another movie company scores a winner with Ghost Rider! and(Cage) plays his role as a poor carny (Johnny Blaze) ,doing only motorcycle stunts to appease his father. Along comes a Dark stranger (the devil) to make him an "offer" and the presentation of this whole area of the film is simply brilliant! most demon/devil films these days are afraid to get "too dark" etc Not the Problem here! johnny, the devil, and his son are all played superbly and the CGI in this film is just gravy! extended edition has more footage and a better running story then the standard editions. At long last, a 5 Star Devil movie at long last!
