Customer Reviews of Genesis: Visible Touch
Calling All Videos When Phil Collins started his solo caree, no one knew how Genesis would be able to keep their career as a group up. With Invisible Touch, they were able to score their most successful album to date. Still, it was just another phase with their music, and the videos to match completely.
With Visible Touch, it launched videos from 6 tracks from the Invisible Touch record including Throwing It All Away, Anything She Does (Featuring Benny Hill), and Land Of Confusion. Each video is unique in blending humor and a little bit of wackiness, and a dash of human seriousness, as the case of the video for Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. In that video, it reflects the street gang life, and why some kids would just be stupid enought to do some of those things including dealing, and partying at the wrong time and place. Another video, Land Of Confusion, has a casting call of only puppets, and a parody of the Cold War. I thought it was seriously strong and zany at the same time. All the videos were directed by Jim Yukich, who directed several videos for Phil Collins throught the 80's and 90's.
It is just a shame that Genesis and Phil Collins have seperated nearly a decade ago. Nevertheless, they've truly made some of the most unbelieveable music today that has influenced a generation. I just hope that there will be a bigger music video collection, and another greatest hits collection with the career of Genesis.
Visible
A nice short music video collection. Worth any Genesis fans time. Get it while you still can.
