Part of the Game Time collection from Kids "R" Us, these bookends make a great addition to any boy's room. Measuring 6 inches long by 4 inches wide by 7 inches high, they're made entirely of wood. The base and side are painted solid blue. While one bookend features a die-cut football and baseball, with a second piece of wood protruding behind it that's shaped and painted like a basketball. The other has a varsity number 3 with a soccer ball fixed to it, again a separate piece of wood. The patterns are painted on both sides, and there are other nice touches such as the wooden dowels in the bases so they better hold their shape. A little assembly is required, although only a Philips screwdriver is needed. The screws and simple directions for securing the three pieces of each bookend together are all included, as are nonslip feet so that it will take only a few minutes before these bookends are in place and doing their bit to keep a growing library in order. --David Morel
