Customer Reviews of GMP TopGear Bluetooth MP3 Stereo 4-in-1 Headset
Unhappy! The only thing I could get this to pair with is my cell phone. MY OSX comnputers can see the headset but says it doesnt offer any services. Even after I bought a Bluetooth dongle with the l.2. Headset is a little too small for my head. Radio reception is pretty horrible. Never invested in the memory necessary for MP3 play.
Good MP3 player - not much else though
The 4-in-one design is a terrific idea - in theory. In practice, at least in this product, I was GREATLY disappointed.

>First, the FM radio will only pick up a station if you are with a mile of the transmission tower - or you tightly hold your hand over the right ear piece and gain an extra mile or two, mind the buttons - they will constantly and unexpectedly get pressed with standard wear.

>The AudioGateway protocol (for use with computers/gaming) is extremely flaky. Frequent cutouts and failure to reconnect automagicly make it completely useless for more than a few minutes.

>Perhaps my greatest disappointment was the use as a cell-phone headset. The mic is without a doubt, THE WORST I have ever attempted to use. The quality of sound was unique to say the least. To quote my wife - "it sounds like you are inside a washing machine at the end of a tunnel surrounded by a crowd of people, and I cant make out what you are saying at all". I was standing in my office, by my self, with no radio or other ambient noise other than 2 desktop computers - each of which are silent enough that I hardly know they are there - and certainly have never interfered with my wired headset at all.

>As an MP3 player - the SD slot works well enough and even reads my 1G card without problems. HOWEVER, WARNING - DON'T try to play WMA files - it locks up the device and requires you to let the power run out before you can recover the headset. There IS NO RESET once it locks up! Lord help you if you actually have it fully charged like I did. Guess that is a plus, eh? Long battery life? Ok - one star - it plays MP3's and runs for several hours on a single charge. I can get THAT for a fraction of the cost at WallMart!

>Which brings me to the ungainliness of the things - they are not heavy mind you, but the headset arm's seam (where they press the 2 sides is a thin sharp edge - and NO padding) presses into the top of my ear and after an hour of 'listening pleasure' it feels like my ear is being sliced off! The buttons are placed in extremely easy to press locations - so easy in fact, that as you go to adjust the ear piece (typically because it is slicing into your ear) you will end up clicking the 'Previous' button or the 'Volume Down' about 3 out of 4 times.
