Customer Reviews of The Tuxedo
The Most Underrated Film of 2002 My vote for the most underrated film of 2002 is THE TUXEDO, a bittersweet romance starring Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Chan stars as Jimmy Tong, a lovable misfit who owns an antique bookstore. Hewitt plays Del Blaine, a bookish college student with an insatiable hunger for word-puzzles. Jimmy is (understandably!) enchanted by the love-inspiring curves of the coed's lush body. Though initially reluctant, Del is eventually swayed by the Asian bookseller's quirky charm... and his wardrobe! Jimmy woos his beloved with the aid of the confidence-enhancing outfit of the title. <
> <
>In its second act, the film turns into a road odyssey. Jimmy convinces his best friend Rex (played Joe Namath, former quarterback of the Los Angeles Rams) to travel across country with him in search of J.D. Salinger, the legendary author of FRANNY AND ZOOEY. One of the film's most endearing delights is Salinger's cameo, his sole on-screen appearance. Touched with grace and style, Salinger resembles a latter-day Cary Grant or a silvery Jimmy Stewart, a silver fox who can win anyone over with the twinkle in his eye. <

>The final scene is a candlelight dinner at the Olive Garden. When the stars kiss, it is clear that Chan has more verve than men half his age. The electricity between the two leads is undeniable.
screw you guys, i'm going home - to watch The Tuxedo
Listen up you pajama-wearing martial arts loser wannabes! This is a COMEDY. It is not Enter the Dragon. Jackie Chan is a COMEDIAN. He is not Bruce Lee. And how could anyone not love this movie? The sight of Jackie Chan doing James Brown alone is worth the price of admission - it's Jackie laughing at himself! Move over Chaplin and Lloyd, there's a new king of physical comedy in town, and his name is Jackie Chan.
dont even bother
the action in this is weak, jennifer is really annoying and she cant even fight, most of her punches and kicks were so dodgeable it was really funny..but whaetver i gave it 3 stars cuz its a jackie film and theres a few funny parts in the movie and i kina liked the whole thing about a super tuxedo..but whatver i woulda gave it 2 starrs..but i gave it 3 outta mercy..ight peace
