Back to the Drawing Board This tape consists of 2 episodes from the animated BACK TO THE FUTURE series. EPISODE 1 "A FRIEND IN DEED" Marty heads back to the 1800s to save his grilfriends family farm from falling into Biff Tannen's hand. But, to do that, he must join a Tannen ancestor's gang! A particular annoying episode. EPISODE 2 "THE MONEY TREE" Doc Brown son Jules creates a money tree and he goes from geek to star. Not much in the time travel or creativity depatment here. ABOUT THE SERIES A short while after BACK TO THE FUTURE III closed out the trilogy, Amblin and Universal teamed up on this series. The cartoon was to focus on the adventure but offer snippets of learning, usually provided by a live-action Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) assisted by a silent BILL NYE. On this tape an invisible ink experiment is available for you to try at home. Like most television animation, its not gorgeous to look at but it consistently provided new, unique background locales as this DeLorean travels time and location. Here lies a problem. The movies (and theme park ride!) heart was based on seeing the same location (Hill Valley) at different points in time. The series is not confined to that so its usually a BIFF TANNEN decendant that provides the connection. Definately for younger children interested in history and/or science.
