More Spice Channel Than Psychological
I did not buy this DVD from Amazon, but was interested as I had seen it advertised as a "psychological thriller of romance and intrigue" (or something like that) and it sounded unusual. It more closely resembles something from late night HBO or the Spice Channel. The story is not really particularly involved, but in the end everyone gets burned and nobody is really who they seem to be.

As far as the story itself goes, there isn't much plot other than an ongoing theme of infidelity (and inability to trust your friends), and relaxed dress and moral codes. The actors generally are quite good looking, and the cast largely does a good job with their roles. The movie seems implausible enough (and is) but there is an interesting and unexpected twist in the last ten minutes of the film that earns the movie a couple of stars above an HBO late night production. I won't spoil the twist, but will say that it does make the entire premise of the film much more plausible, if still not entirely so.

Not really a true romantic psychological thriller, it is well done for what it is.

Good softcore, but drags a bit in the middle.
Forbidden is a softcore film that gets praised a lot as one of the "must haves", but it's difficult to find a copy. I didn't think that the film lived up to all the hype, but it is still a good softcore film and a worthwhile purchase.

The movie gets off to a great start. There are a couple of scenes from a bachelor party where two strippers show off their beautiful bodies. This is followed by three boy/girl scenes and one boy/girl/girl shower scene. At this point, you're just short of the halfway point in the film. However, instead of keeping the momentum going, the film stumbles at this point. There are only two more full sex scenes for the rest of the film. There's still a lot of nudity and some "sort of" sex scenes, but none of it generates much heat.

So you end up with six scenes. All of them are good, and two of them are fantastic. There's some interesting locations, good camera work, very explicit shots, and the actors and actresses are always audible.

There are two women who are the focus of most of the movie (Tracy and Renee). Both are beautiful and give great performances. There are three more women, who are all also beautiful, but we only see them briefly.

This thing could have been really great. It only runs for 83 minutes. All the "sort of" scenes could have been developed into full sex scenes and the film still would have come in at only 90 minutes. I would have liked to see better use of the other women.

This is good, but there are many other softcore films out there that are better, and easier to aquire.

What can I say: superb, awesome, the best, one .... hair from being perfect late night erotic video. I read the reviews and I decided I've got to have it, amazon was out of stock so I ordered it from one of the used vendors, waited for several weeks and then they refunded my money because they couldn't produce, so I ordered it from another used vendor same problem so I finally got a foreign (english with chinese subtitles) off of ebay and it was well worth the wait. Everybody rants about "Monique" or renee rea but I think Jasons wife Tracy Ryan is much hotter than Rea. This film shows more full below the waste female anatomy than any I've seen except for full porn. I've watched alot of films in this genre and this is at least one of the top ten, matter of fact a website dedicated to reviewing and rating late night adult films rated it as a "hot" 9 out of 10 and lists it on their top 10 must have list. Bottom line: Buy it, if you can find it.
