Customer Reviews of Flood Light
Best GBA Ever!!! I have bought nearly every light for the GBA and without a doubt this works by far the absolute BEST!!! I think it is a small curved florescent light, what ever it is there are no dark spots or bright spots. Just sweet wonderful light to even make Castlevania playable without squinting. Warning, have lots of batteries on hand; eats them up like they were going out of style. The only thing that will come close is a new Gameboy SP or an after market device called the Afterburner which voids your warranty.
An excellent light
This is most certainly one of the most effective lights available for the GBA, short of getting the Afterburner (which I avoid because getting hot solder anywhere near my GBA's circuts makes no sense to me). It provides excellent illumenation of the screen with minimal to no glare. The only real drawback is that it does eat batteries quickly and it takes a bit of experiementing to get the right kind of light you want.
In short, if you're not comfortable mucking around in your GBA's innards, this is the hands down best choice on the market today.
Great light!
I bought my son a Game Boy Advance last year for Christmas, and also several accessories including this light. We've been very happy with it. It works great, lights up the screen beautifully and to me the most important feature is that it runs on its own batteries rather than draining the GBA batteries.
This year his sister is getting a Game Boy Advance. To avoid any arguments I'm buying things different..... a different colored Game Boy, different games, different case, etc. But I refuse to buy a different light. I'll have to mark them somehow so I can tell which one goes to which Game Boy, but I really like this light and can't see any other one measuring up to this one!
