Somewhat soothing, Not at all playful...
My mom was really the one that fell in love with the concept of this bouncer, so she purchased it for my son 2 years ago. He used it forever to sleep in, but never really to play. Now, we're having the same problem with using it for our daughter, who is 9 weeks old. At this age, babies are starting to notice things more, and it would be wonderful if this could keep her amused more. She's really in love with her swing, but when I need to take a shower, I put her in the bouncer, and unless it's a lightening speed shower, there really isn't enough going on with the bouncer to keep her amused. There are 2 toys, monochomatic, which are not only out of reach for babies, but also out of their line of sight. What good is that!?! Also, whenever I run the massage up and down her back, it really kind of freaks her out. But as far as comfort, bouncing and vibrating, it really does serve its purpose.

Great Place for a Nap!
My daughter LOVES to nap in this bouncer. In fact, she's sleeping in it right now! Whenever she is fighting sleep I just put her in here and bounce her to sleep. She loves the vibration but the back massager tickles her so she fusses when I put it on. She also loves the music. Everytime I turn it on her eyes get really big and you can tell she's really focusing on the sounds. <
>I do agree with the other people who said that this is not a good bouncer for playing in. The toys that are attached are made of dull colors so I just took them off and put other ones on.

The only bouncer to buy!
This is one of the best shower gifts I received. I didn't register for it, so I wasn't too gungho about it. Then when the babies came I needed a place for one of them to sit while I fed the other. I had another bouncer, but the babies were too upright in it and couldn't sit comfortably. This bouncer has enough of a recline that even babies without great head control can comfortably use it. The vibration has been a lifesaver. When the babies are fussy a few minutes of the vibration calms them down. They really like the back massager, too. I noticed other reviewers have complained about the straps... They ARE adjustable and I have not had a problem fixing them to the correct size. I will say you MUST use the straps. Some swings and bouncers are at enough of a recline that you can get away without using the straps, but I've noticed when we don't use the straps the babies are able to easily wiggle to the end of the seat. I liked this bouncer so much that, since I have multiples, I went out and bought a second one.
