Season 3 is the year when the Wormhole story arc takes precedence, as the interactions between John Crichton and his nemesis Scorpius become ever more complicated (involving various different clones, real or "neural", of both antagonists). It's also the year that some major characters die, new ones are introduced, and Crichton (well, one version of him anyway) and Aeryn finally consummate their relationship. Moya's crew endures a vertiginous emotional roller-coaster ride when powerful issues of love, loyalty, and sacrifice loom large. They must also face their sternest challenge yet as the series' biggest story arc reaches an explosive climax aboard Scorpius's Command Carrier. Anyone who has not followed Farscape extremely closely from the very beginning of season 1 will be utterly baffled by the convoluted plotting and complex character interactions. But for fans, this is the show's most rewarding year. --Mark Walker

Customer Reviews of Farscape - The Complete Third Season
Proved me wrong I first thought that Farscape was a stupid show for Star Wars geeks when a friend recomended i watch it. I really didn't like it at first but after a few episodes it peaked my interest. By the time the first season ended i was a full fledged Farscape junkie, and proud of it. When i finally finished season three i recalled how naive i was to the plight of some wimpy scientist named John Chichton. My wife tried to rag on me until i sat her down and made her watch. She became more emotionally attached than i thought possible, probably because of John and Eryn's relationship. After i purchased season 3 on DVD we stayed up until 4 am watching it like some cracked out junkies.
Wait, don't buy this set
Love Farscape, hate the publisher ADV. They are releasing these disks as a special edition and charging much less. Found I could get all of Season One on three DVD's for about half the price of this set. If you want Farscape, show a little patience and you'll get a better, cheaper product. Let the publisher shoot themselves in the foot, instead of getting you.
I love Farscape as much as anyone...
...but who in their frelling mind could afford the season sets?! This is one of those things that will be put on my wish list and may never come off of it - not unless my family and I decide to forgo eating for a month. And while 22 episodes of Farscape would be a great deterrant from the hunger pangs, it would ultimately be a bad idea. It's bad enough that the show was canceled, but to charge that much for the DVD's? That's just not right.
