Though the Artisanale vinegar pot was designed with a specific, traditional purpose in mind--fermenting homemade wine vinegar--it is perhaps even more useful as a dispenser for cold, clear beverages: iced tea, ice water, or chilled, strained wine punch. (The cork-and-boxwood spigot has a small opening that could easily become clogged, so avoid using the vinegar pot for pulpy citrus juices or other thicker beverages.) The cork end of the simple spigot fits into a hole near the bottom of the pot; turn the handle to point along the direction of the spigot to start the flow of liquid.
