Customer Reviews of Elegant Bride
Entertaining, rather than just informative, articles I enjoy this magazine not particularly for informational value - this may not be the best magazine for that. However, if you are looking for an entertaining read, a break from checklists and endless gown photos, this magazine will fit the bill better than any other bridal magazine. The articles are very well-written and a real pleasure to read, even humorous. When I want a break from the "stress" of "planning" to just to relax and have some fun with it I pick up this magazine. It helps maintain my sanity. Excellent, very well written, personal articles, not the generic fare a lot of bridal magazines are so chock full of. When you're tired of the "12 Month To Do Checklists," "Top 20 Tips for Personalizing Your Wedding," and other regurgatated topics in other magazines, give this one a try; it's unlike the others in many ways.
A Great Magazine....If you have $100,000 for your wedding
I have bought this magazine twice. I bought it the first time because every bride wants and elegant wedding, right? I thought the layouts were lovely, but when one looks closer at the prices listed for ideas, i.e shoes, jewelry, etc., they feature rings for $20,000, shoes that are $750, and dresses from designers like St. Pucci who I love, but cost over $10,000+. Virtually every add and editorial makes suggestions on products/ideas that most middle-class brides could never afford.

>Frankly I'd rather make a large payment on my house, than spend as much as the grotesque wedding industry and this magazine suggest. Now you wonder, why would I buy it twice? I bought it again thinking the first issue was some special issue, with extravagant suggestions. It wasn't. All of the issues pretty much cater to the Manhattan Fifth Ave. Bride. If that's you-buy it. If you are paying for your wedding, which my fiance' and I are doing, don't bother. Buy Martha Stewart Weddings- better yet subscribe, and you don't have to go the the store, while saving money at the same time.

>Just another suggestion, don't just buy every wedding magazine you see. Go to a bookstore and sit down before you buy. Bring a pen and paper with you. If you see a good suggestion or a product you like write it down, and put it back on the shelf. About 90 percent of these magazines are advertisements; usually the same ones over and over. I have had a year and a half to plan my wedding, and believe me, I've read them all.
Good Mag
It's little more contemporary than other bridal magazines but it still has something for everyone. I think it's great magazine and definately tops my list of bridal magazines.
