Customer Reviews of Einstein Number Blocks
Great blocks These blocks are great. My daughter got them at about 4 months, she is now 6 + months ans still enjoys them. They are great for teaching and encouraging movement b/c they sort of roll away when you try to grab them. This also makes me think they are safe, b/c if she can't grab and hold them easily, she probably won't choke on them either. And she just likes chasing them around. When she does "catch" one, it's got great colors and textures, as well as numbers and different sounds. all in all - a good buy.
Great First Toys!
This was our first christmas and my son got TONS of new toys to play with. But, since he is only 5 months old, he is a little young for stacking, sorting and building toys. These blocks are wonderful. They have bright colors and are nice and big for him to grab onto. They are soft and squishy too which is nice because I don't have to worry about him falling or rolling over onto them and getting hurt.

>I like that each cube displays its number in different ways - spelled out in 3 different languages, with pictures of cartoon animals, photos of real animals, etc - all great ways of reinforcing number recognition. The number 4 block even has a voice activated sound clip that counts to 4 when you squeeze the block. The other 3 blocks all have a rattle like sound to them when you shake them. Of course none of this matters to my son. He just likes to grab them and put them in his mouth! We play a game where I stack the blocks on top of each other and count them as I stack them, then he knocks the tower over and tries to grab at the blocks as they fall.

>My son gives these blocks two baby thumbs up (if he'll take his thumbs out of his mouth long enough to do so)!
Just one little thing....
We love Baby Einstein toys, and we have many of them. We have these & the color blocks. The number blocks are neat! They have 1 through 4 in 3 languages, and the 4th one says the numbers when you squeeze it...It would be nice if it were easier to activate the sound box, though. It only works if you squeeze it just right. Also, the tiger tail is a let down if you have the color blocks -- the frog's leg makes the block vibrate when you pull on it, but the tiger's just stretches. These are great blocks, nonetheless. The stitching has held up well to two teething girls!
