The best travel system ever!
My husband and I absolutely love this travel system. We have NEVER had any problems with the car seat or the stroller. We installed the base in the middle seat of our 4 door sedan and it is extremely secure. We have never had it slide or tip over in the car. We installed it ourselves as well, and we are not car seat technicians. The only way the base moves is if the latch straps are too loose. Or maybe if your car doesn't have a latch system, using a seatbelt that doesn't lock could cause the problem. <

>One problem with this system is it is heavy. My husband always carries both the car seat and the stroller so it is working out fine. If I go somewhere with the baby alone, with a little muscle I manage. The stroller is great because it folds upright so no more scraped trays or parking lot oil all over the nice pattern. We like that. It is also a little tricky to learn how to snap the car seat into the stroller and to recline the back of the stroller so the baby could lie down, but if you pull out the instructions it is clear on what to do. <

Also, since the base is smaller than other car seats it takes up less room and we can easily 3 babies in my Toyota Corolla when necessary. Oh and about the size issue, my son is eight months old now and he still fits just fine. He is about 22 lbs and we have no plans on moving to another seat soon unless he grows 5 inches and puts on 10 lbs overnight! Don't let other reviews scare you....
I purchased this travel system at babies r us in the mercer print because I loved the pattern. Shortly afterward I looked at some of these reviews and was scared to death that I had made a huge mistake. The previous reviews about the car seat being unsafe made me very nervous, HOWEVER, I did some research on my own and found out that a little bit of resourcefulness goes a long way. <

I made an appointment and went yesterday - the technician went over every safety feature and helped me to install my car seat which by the way is very stable, does not move around, does not flip to the side, and does not have any problems like others suggest. After spending 45 minutes with me the technician took out the car seat and made me install the seat myself so that I knew exactly what to do. The technician indicated to me that he helps install hundreds of car seats every year and only a handful of people actually have them installed properly. I admit, before going to my appointment I tried to install the seat myself and it wobbled around a little too much for my liking....THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS INSTALLING IT WRONG! <

A little pricey, but worth the money
This stroller was a bit pricey, but manuvers very well and rides well, so I guess it might be worth the money. It tends to be a very well built stroller and carrier, therefore it's heavier then a smaller stroller or travel system. The only feature on the stoller I didn't like is the back tires are wider and stick out further then the front tires and I'm constantly running into things in stores.
