Customer Reviews of EZ Table - The Multipurpose Folding Table
A BAD Substitute for Table Mate I received 2 tables from Wonderful buys.com. They shipped it in the original packaging and it was severely torn and ripped. I also found the product cheaply made. The table part is warped and will not stay flat. <

>These are going back to wonderful buys! Next time I'll buy the brand name Table Mate. The reviews for it seem pretty positive.
About what I expected for the price...
I was looking for a folding table to use with my laptop computer while sitting on the sofa and ran across a few possibilities, Lifetime's Personal Table (which I also own), the Table Mate II, and this item, the EZ Table. Here are my observations of the EZ Table. 1) The EZ Table appears to be a clone of the Table Mate II. I do not have access to the Table Mate II so I can't say if they are truly identical, but based on the photos, they appear to be. 2) Quality control is lacking. The enamel-painted steel legs had paint chips. I can't tell if it left the factory that way, perhaps it was due to rough handling during shipping. The packing material (bubblewrap) could be better. 3) The table is easy enough to assemble but when fully assembled, the table top appeared warped with one side raised higher than the other. This was fixed by flexing the steel support arm until the table top looked flat. Don't do this while the arm is attached to the table top!! You could hurt yourself or break the table. 4) Another reviewer had an issue with one of the three possible angle settings. Flexing the steel support arm should help. Ideally, you want a slight tilt upwards so that when objects are placed on the table top, the weight will cause the table top to become level. 5) Adjusting the height is pretty easy and is best done with the table upside down. 6) When folded flat, it's slightly more than 2 inches thick - a little too thick to slide under my sofa. 7) The table is very light and easy to move out of the way. It is sturdy enough to eat on and use the laptop computer but not what I would consider a heavy duty table. The vendor claims it can support 50lbs but I didn't test that. 8) The vendor shipped the table in it's original packing container. It is not meant to be used for shipping so the box arrived crushed and pretty beat up. It was a miracle that the table arrived with all parts intact. The vendor should have at least taped up all of the edges to prevent items from falling out.

>Value *****. It is half the cost of the Table Mate II and probably performs the same.

>Performance ***. Quality control is mediocre. Lifetime's Personal Table is a better quality table by a huge margin but I can't pull it in as close as I'd like.

EZ Tables are Junk
I ordered 5 of these for use in my home. They all came in beat up, almost destroyed boxes. The first one was all scratched up. Although they seem to show that there is a level surface, there is no level position so that is hard to use it as an eating table (my soda bottle kept sliding down to the end). In the instructions it appears that there is a level position and two downward positions. Instead there is one upward position at such an angle that it is impossible to use for any purpose, and two downward positions. I would not recommend this product.
