Your UV unit is supplied with a High Output (HO) Low Pressure UV Lamp, in the UV-C germicidal range. The lamp has a useful life of 9000 hours of continuous operation, or about one year of use. After that time, the lamp nears its End-Of-Life (EOL) and the output diminishes to the point where the system will no longer function properly to sanitize the water. Each model of Elektra E/ES series UV system has a different lamp. Both the E Series and ES Series use the same lamps for each size UV unit. Thus an E-20 uses the same lamp as an ES-20 system.
