Customer Reviews of Dungeon
Da mag! Although I live in Spain and can't benefit from Amazon's subscription service (it's only for US), I do have an opinion I'd like to share. <
> I've been a faithful Dungeon Magazine buyer for 6 years now (always through my hobby store). I've seen the good times of Dungeon, hitting 3rd edition in 1999, the down-slope towards 3.5 in 2002, and the phoenix-like come-back resurrection of the magazine, under the tuition of Lord Erik Mona in the last couple of years. <
> Not only did Mona convert me to Greyhawk-ism, but also made my realize that keeping things simple and straight was the best way of pleasing most of the D&D fans out there. <
> And what do most of us really want from an RPG magazine? <
> <
> Adventures, adventures and even more adventures. <

> Dungeon Magazine does the job, and does it pretty darn well in my opinion. In all 6 years of faithful reading, I've never seen a better edition than the current one. <
> It is true, though, I'm a bit uncertain about the future, now they're making James Jacobs Editor-in-chief. Nevertheless, I've just read through issue #143 and thing aren't looking bad at all. He's keeping up with the standards that Mona set, and my guess is as long as he sticks to the basics I'm bound to choosing this magazine as my main monthly adventure supply.
I chose well.
Well, there wasn't a whole lot of fantasy gaming mags to choose from. At least this ones good. Great tool for dms even better for players to catch up on sneaky dm tricks.
Great magazine.
I have been a subscriber off and on for many years. As others have said, Dungeon has gone up and down in that time. I believe that Paizo has done a wonderful job with this magazine. I feel that I am the only on that misses the old Polyhedron addition to the magazine, adding other games to the mix. I loved the Githyanki module/magazine. My #1 favorite thus far. It is really cheap, when you consider the price of 3 modules. I know that they are short, but the 3 together are the same if not more pages of a major module, and the magazine costs about half. Toss in the extras, and you can't deny this magaizine is a great value. Probably the ONE downside, of it, is that you need about a dozen issues to have a good base of modules to choose from, when you need one in a hurry.
