Customer Reviews of Dream Theater: 5 Years in a Livetime
Dream Theater After listening to Dream Theater and looking at all the pictures of the live shows, i decided i needed something more.I wanted something to show me Dream Theater in their element, live. The day i bought the tape, i stayed up till 2 in the morning watching this tape! Also getting my parents mad because the sound was up to the maximum level. I was and am still amazed by this tape. Not only does it show great live clips, but it also shows their music videos and segments from the studio. This tape really showed me what each member is like, watching and listening to each member amaze the crowds by playing some of the coolest music i have ever heard. This tape consists of studio clips, live shows, like Once In A Livetime in Paris, Live And Unplugged, fan club shows, and other concerts. This tape is a must have for every Dream Theater fan. And even if you're not a fan, it is still an amazing tape to watch and listen to. As I speak, it is on the T.V. right now. Trust me on this: This is by far my favorite thing to watch instead of T.V.
Thank you very much Dream Theater for making this video!
Good, but lacking one major thing- the solos!!!
This is a quite a good collection of Dream Theater performances. But the main reason I bought it was because I wanted to see Petrucci, Portnoy and Derek soloing. After all, they are masters of their instruments. But this video doesn't reflect that. Major disappointment. Apart from that, it's really good, and there are some good songs on it I never heard b4. If you're a DT fan, get this. If you're into their solos, don't. They show the first few seconds of Petrucci's killer solo on Once in a livetime, then they jump straight to Learning to live. Almost made me cry!!
