You control Rynn, warrior woman and dragon rider, as she avenges the deaths of her fellow villagers and searches for her abducted brother. As with most games of this type the plot is wafer thin, but we really didn't care as we fought and flew our way through the game's lush environments. Some of the levels feel contrived, since the designers had to come up with ways to keep Rynn separated from her powerful dragon companion at times, but it's still fun. The best parts of the game are those when Rynn hops on Arokh and gains the ability to wing her way through the levels. We had great fun taking in the stunning vistas from the air and fighting with Arokh's devastating dragon-breath attacks.
On the ground the game gets a little repetitive due to the annoying waves of enemies and relatively weak puzzle design. The cutscenes also suffered from poor production values and interfered with the flow of the game. Despite the flaws, don't mistake this refreshing title for a Tomb Raider knockoff, or you'll deprive yourself of a very entertaining third-person action game. --T. Byrl Baker
Pros:
- Addition of the dragon elevates this game above similar third-person-perspective games
- Lush graphics and expansive environments
- Levels feel too contrived at times
- Combat gets repetitive, and the cutscenes are poorly done

DRAKAN: Order Of The Flame About the Game: You are casted as the young warrior, Rynn. Her brother, Delon, was kid-napped in a wartock raid and you are to rescue him. Along the way, you meet many creatures some helpful some...well not so helpful and would rather kill you. You team up with a powerful, ancient dragon named Arokh. Together you fight the forces of the "order" and deafeat all enemies. <

> My opinion about the game: AWESOME GAME! At first i found it difficult. I had no clue what was expected of me. I Eventually understood it and went on to play the game. I admit it was challenging, being a non-game playing person. Were it not for the guide i'd still be playing! I had to use a few cheat codes here and there but hey who cares? I LOVED playing the game from Arokh's back and dealing out death for those stupid wartocks! <

> Downsides: Sometimes the game would freak out on me and just shut off, but i still havent figured out why. maybe it was my gamecard...im not sure. Other times i noticed the characters werent quite standing on the ground, or that i kept seeing the dragon in half of a wall, or the one time when i was in the dead city of Alwarren, it sorta jumped or something and i fell through the ceiling i was walking on and was stuck in the protective seal and couldnt get out! Anywhoo all in all there really werent too many problems...and hey, no game is perfect, right? <

the most underrated game I've ever seen !
This game has bump mapping, dynamic lighting, a physics engine, and huge outdoor environments. It's got a hot female lead character that's similar to Lara Croft. She can either walk around or fly her dragon in all areas. She can explore wherever she wants to. There's no linear level progression - just tasks to complete. There's seamless transitions between outdoor environments and caves/dungeons. There's weather effects. There's tons of different weapons to find. The enemies have different pieces - for example you can cut a monster's arm off. The graphics are smooth with modern hardware. I've always wondered why this game didn't sell better. I'd buy a sequel for the PC immediately if it ever comes out.
Excelent
I have played many games where you go around and chop up creatures with swords, and they are okay. But this one is my favorite of all. I bought a PlayStation 2 just to play the second one. It's only on PS2
It's possible that I like this game because your player is a young, sexy, attractive, beautiful woman.
