Customer Reviews of Don Brewer: Live at the Modern Drummer Festival 2000
Don Brewer: live at the modern drummer festival 2000 Asolutely the gratest hard rock drummer I have ever seen!!!!
Powerfull, fluency, quickly.
He is one of the 10 best drummer of all the times.
Geat artist, great man, I hope to see DON BREWER in concert in
Europe. Thank you Don for your art.
What were you thinking Robert Williams?
I can't believe that Mr. Williams would call this video a yawn! Don Brewer is by far in the top ten greatest drummers that ever lived. (check out his Grand Funk Railroad work, "On Time", "Grand Funk", "Survival" etc.) Don was one of the first drummers to event the hard rock driving beats that fueled GFR's rise to the top of rock stardom. This video shows Don still kickin in his 50's and rocking out. Listen to Don on T.N.U.C. as he goes into a killer solo. Mr. Williams must not have alot of knowledge of the drums, b/c it is obvious his review was a very uneducated one. Check out the Modern Drummer Festival featuring Don Brewer, your money is worth this incredible performance.
Good Interview, but where was the band?
I enjoyed watching this video. While Don Brewer was not one of my favorite drummers, I did enjoy his playing with Grand Funk. He was well suited to the high energy style of that band. My only real difficulty with the video was that I expected to see Don play with a band and maybe in some other musical settings beyond tapes of Grand Funk.
He did some great playing behind Pete Seager. Why not include some of that? If you want to hear Don talk about playing with Grand Funk watch him play along with recorded music, get this. But be prepared. Don't look for the band.
