Great and comfortable seat
i own a discovery infant seat and i really like it. while shopping for a seat in retail stores, i wanted a seat that was soft and comfortable for my new baby. out of all the different seats, including some pricey models, i found this to be one of the softer, more padded infant seats. my baby loves his carseat, it's comfy for him to ride in. the harness is very easy to adjust and the base is fairly easy to install. i do agree with a previous review that the handle is a little akward to hold and makes the carrier more difficult to carry with a large baby in it (mine is 18 lbs. @ 4 months!) but still, the comfort of this seat for my child is more important than the comfort of the seat in my hands.Also, alot of seats have this handle anyhow so you single out a lot of potentially great seats if this is what you're trying to avoid. yes, the seat does take a minimal amount of manuevering to get in and out of its base but after a few times, unless you're a pretty clumsy person, you shouldn't have any problems with it. and the release button for the seat is actually in a decent spot and not hard to reach at all. one downside to this seat is that it lacks a seat angle guide , so you have to kind of guess at the angle the seat should sit but isn't all too hard to figure out. i would recommend this seat to anyone that wanted a comfortable ride for their baby for a good price.

Discovery Seat and add'l Embrace Bases do not fit!
On this page, you'll notice extra bases offered for this Discovery model are an Embrace model. I assumed that since it was the reccommended base on the Amazon site, they were compatable. <

However, the lip does not allow you to simply pull up on the car seat; you'll have to push it back and then pull up. <
