Skip it I liked the idea of a compact swing, but my son prefered the full size swing - probably because it has a wider, gentler swing radius. The lights and music on this one seemed to overstimulate our son when he was <2 months old, but after that he liked the lights. I'd skip this and spend the money for a full size swing and a bouncer instead.
He Liked Sitting In It As Long As It Didn't Move!
We bought this swing for our first son because we were living with my in-laws at the time and I didn't want to take up a log of space in their home with a full-size swing.

My son absolutely loved using this swing. He was able to entertain himself until he fell asleep (a definite 'plus' for mom and dad). It was great to be able to just fold it up and put it away to save space when it wasn't being used. It was also convenient to be able to take it to friends' homes for a piece of familiarity away from home. And who doesn't like being able to bring something with you that you know your child will enjoy! Even at the age of two, my son was very upset that I was giving the swing away. I should have listened to him because we are expecting another baby and I now feel the need to buy another one!
