Customer Reviews of Del Mar Wallborder
i love del mar we bought the entire del mar collection when my son was born 2 years ago, and he still loves it. he refuses to come out of his crib w/ all the dolphins, stars and suns looking at him. the wall paper was a little tough to hang, but with a little elbow grease to keep pressing and rubbing it, it did stick.
Very beautiful, but don't like to stick !
When I first saw this border I had to have it for my new baby's room along with the entire del mar collection because I love dolphins and I just knew that this decor would make the baby's room perfect.
Last night, we put the border up in the baby's new room and it looks great! It complements the entire room, especially the lilac powder color paint.
However, we did run into some problems with the adhesive that is on the back of the border. The edges of the border refused to stick to the wall but the center was fine. So we had to run to the store to buy border adhesive.
So, if you decide to go with this theme for your baby's room (or any theme that has a border that is not stick-on), I would recommend buying the border adhesive (but not the roll on adhesive, that don't like sticking either, go for the one that you apply with a sponge or brush, it works).
now that the border is up, the room is beautiful and I know that my new baby will love it!!
Details a baby will love.
Although we bought the "Serendipity" bed set, we loved this "Del Mar" border and thought it would match well. The border was easy to put up, especially since dh and I had never wallpapered anything before. We painted the bottom of the room, a wash of blue and sea green, and the top of the room blue. The room turned out fantastic, and knew it would be great for either a boy or girl.
We hung the border, right at the height where it was visible for a child while laying on the changing table. Once she was 3-4 weeks old, she would STARE intently at the border. At about 5-6 weeks, laying her on her changing table so she could look at HER border, was the one means we had to stop her from crying...that in itself paid for this product a 1000 times over. (not to mention that I love how the room turned out)
