>It's nice when a company has faith in it's unique franchises. And with a company as big as E.A., you would have faith too. <

>I'm talking about Def Jam: Fight for NY. Boasting some of the biggest names in both hip-hop fashion and talent (who lend their voices to the game) really adds to the authenticity of the culture the game portrays. <

>The fighting engine is easily compared to the classic wrestling titles on the N64. This is a good thing, as some will say these are some of the best games of the genre. <

>There are 5 fighting styles, which as you progress, allow mixing between them. With unlockable's including wrestlers, venues, and merchandise, there is plenty to keep you playing. Fans of fighters and hip-hop shouldn't miss this one.
An awesom game
This game its perfect to play with a lot of friends (or at least 4) the fun its huge. History mode its just like multiplayer mode, a LOT of fun.
good concept + frustrating control = BAD GAMEPLAY
I got to give EA credit for this game. The graphic are the coolest i seen in a while. Sound of up to date, not the best only because i don't like Rap, hip hop, or R&B. A little rock would be cool, but then it might not make sense. There are a lot of unlockable in this game, in fact the most fun i had was dressing up my fighter. The story mode SUCK! How could anyone say the story is good is beyond me. Now this is where i had to take away two star from this game, the gameplay. The grapple is the x button instead of the O button like in the smackdown series. This might not matter if you never play any wrestling games, but if you have already play any smackdown games, the control can be very frustrating. Now imagine switching back and forth from smackdown to def jam, and you get what i mean. Let just say that even if you didn't play any smackdown series, the control layout is still too difficult. Another thing i found in the game that could hurt the game was the limited arsenal of moves. Yeah you get a lot of move to unlock, but it only blazing moves. The most move i see in the game was like 5 front grapple and 1 back grapples. This is a sad excuse on the behalf of the producer. Seriously this game lack moves, and is enough to make the game less fun. Thankfully there is more than enough fighter to suit your need.
