Customer Reviews of Dedicated
ATB did it ! A big fan of ATB, I always knew that one day we all will get to listen to a great music created by ATB. This album proves that he is a great music producer. I have read the reviews below, many people have written against it, and many have said that this album is not a good effort by ATB.
Of course, if you will compare this album with his (ATB's) earlier albums, you will be disappointed. Not because it's a bad album but because it is different from the earlier work by ATB.
If you forget about his earlier albums and listen to this one without expecting the typical ATB stuff, you will love it.
Listening to this album will take you thru all emotions, especially when you are listening to "I wanna cry" and "Hero".
Actually, I think it's a good decision and a great effort by ATB to create a music, which doesn't sound too repetitive. Remember... Tones from 9PM till I come?
This album is refreshing, and you can listen to it while doing anything.
Step towards maturity
I had to step in after reading those mediocre reviews! I agree that a majority of the album is filler, but the collaborations with the Wild Strawberries are fantastic. ATB has always veered towards the cheesy side, yet, with the unique vocals of Roberta Carter Harrison on "Hold You," "Let U Go," "Hero" and "I Wanna Cry," the songs are the most mature work ATB's produced, and best of all, the tracks would fill any dance floor. My favourite track with Roberta has to be the remake of Olive's "You're Not Alone." Even though I'm a huge fan of Olive (Get their album "Trickle" everyone!), I have to say this one out does the original -- especially after the 3 minute mark when it just sizzles! Highly recommended, if only for the five tracks mentioned above.
3 best atb songs.
While not atb's best overall album, it contains what I feel are the 3 best overall songs he's ever put out. All of these 3 songs also have one thing in common: Roberta Carter Harrison. It's her vocals that make these songs what they are. He should never stop collaborating with her (and on No Silence, she does a few more songs!!!). These 3 songs are also in my top 10 dance/trance songs of all time: Hold You, Let You Go, and You're Not Alone.
To the people who say Olive's version of You're Not Alone was better, you have to be joking. While the innovative sound and lyrics of the song was excellent, Ruth Ann of Olive is NOT a good singer. Her vocals were scratchy and not smooth at all. She and Olive had a more quirky, off-center sound, and her vocals did not transalate well into smooth flowing, mainstream songs. She wouldn't last a round on American Idol. I guess she did pretty well cause Olive is certainly still around, huh? NO, I think not. Roberta Carter Harrison sings the lyrics a hell of a lot better.
And why is Let U Go on here again, someone asked? Because this version is far better than the version on Two Worlds, and a far different one. He must of realized this and wanted fans to here it again, and better.
One question you must ask yourself, how many other DJ/writer/producers have made as many popular tracks as atb? Answer: None.
