After months, we still love it! We bought the Decathlon months ago and still love everything about it! It's got tons of padding that is easy to remove as baby grows, and is easy to install. I drive a Subaru Impreza, which is not a huge car and the Decathlon fits pretty well rear facing. Not enough room in the front to recline a lot, but enough room to sit comfortably. Now that my son is finally one and can sit forward facing I love this seat even more! It's nice and big, but I have no problem seeing out my back window. My son never complains riding in this seat, and when he falls asleep his head rests nicely on the sides without flopping all over the place. I only wish buying different covers for it was cheaper, I'd buy one of each. =)
Worth every penny!!! LOVE IT!
I originally bought the Alpha Omega Elite Car seat for my 1 year old son. I returned it for a few reasons (can read on my other review). I ended up paying a little more for the Decathlon Convertible and it was the best buy ever! I love it, but most importantly my son loves it! The only time he cries in his car seat is when he's tired and ready to take his nap. Before he used to cry non-stop until we purchased this Decathlon! What I love most about it is that when he falls asleep his head doesn't flop foward! It stays in place. I love it! I intend to buy this car seat for all my future kids!
Decathlon the Best! vs. Boulevard vs. Marathon
I originally purchased the Boulevard wanting the best for my baby then I read reviews. SIP is the great added feature of Boulevard. BUT, Boulevard has SHORT crotch strap and not enough padding and SIP wings are not removeable. Decathlon has adjustable crotch strap-3 positions & much more padding than Boulevard & Marathon and no wings blocking childs view. Highly recommend this seat over the others!
