I really enjoyed this book and am working on picking up more in this series. Kim Harrison writes a supernatural alternate history book- the world has been torn asunder by genetic manipulation of tomatoes - after a huge number of the world's population are decimated by a tomatoe born disease it is the supernatural beings of legend that not only survive but thrive. Acceptance of their kind is not easy- there is segregation of them vs humans- humans living in clean tidy burbs while the supernatural beings live in darker less desirable areas..... <
