Rather than use AppleTalk, DAVE 3.1 connects with the Internet using TCP/IP protocol, making it easier than ever before to work from home or on the road with your Mac. Designed to run native on Mac OS X, DAVE fully supports Microsoft Windows operating systems and works with any-size network. DAVE 3.1 also enables file and PostScript printer sharing, supports filenames greater than 31 characters, and handles file sizes over 2 gigabytes in size with ease--an added bonus for graphics users.

Fully scriptable with AppleScript (OS 8.6 to 9.2), users can write a range of scripts with DAVE 3.1, including mounting and unmounting remote volumes, network logon and logout functions, and more. DAVE 3.1 adds a domain logon, so that Mac users can log onto a Microsoft network with the ease of a PC user, and DAVE's encrypted passwords offer added security. Apple Open Transport-native and compatible with MacTCP, DAVE 3.1 supports WINS as well as all services that use Common Internet File System (CIFS) protocol. Easy to install, this cross-platform networking solution is equally easy to use and requires no additional PC hardware or software.Note: This is a 10-user pack.
