I've had better luck
It's too bad the previous reviewer had such a bad experience with these dishes. I bought 2 sets, some accessories, and other than a salad plate broken in transit, have had no difficulties. I purchased the Aruba Orange selection, can't vouch for the other colors. They're the happiest dishes I've ever owned. <
>Regarding the broken salad plate, Amazon was very generous in their settlement with me, refunding far more than an open stock replacement cost at the local Lenox factory store. I'm a satisfied customer.

Buyer Beware - No Stars from ME
This dinnerware is gorgeous but every single piece that we purchased (4 complete sets, plus platters, side dishes, etc) is defective. <

>The earthenware retains moisture and then seeps it back out onto your table or wherever else it is placed. It leaves condensation rings on wood furniture, the bowls literally have water in them after being stacked after washing (and yes, they've been put away dry.) <

>I've talked to Dansk about this, they refuse to acknowledge the problem though the will take everything back. One representative did say it appears that the clay may not have been fired properly. <
