Customer Reviews of Dakar 2: The World's Ultimate Rally
Great game, but lacks some extras This is a great game don't get me wrong, I love rally themed games and next to Colin McRae3 and V-Rally 3 this is one of my faves. I do not, however, like the fact that you cannot "tune" your vehicle more. I think for a game with the scope of Dakar you should be able to tweak the hell out of your car. Another thing is the length of the stages. I know that every console has it's limits, but Dakar is a 3000KM+ race. The stages should be ALOT longer. On the whole this is a great game for the price definately worth it to buy. Plus it's fun beating ...friends on the desert stages if you know what you are doing :)
Just Rent it
I rented this game a week ago, and I completed the full campaign (from Paris to Dakar) at the medium level with a motobike in an hour and a half!!!. I had fun, but the races were quite repetitive. Great choices of car, motorbike, trucks. I wished that they would include more video of the Dakar like in "the journal du Dakar" for those who are familiar with. My conclusion is, rent it, don't buy it and I promess you a lot of fun ....
WHY SO CHEAP?
Graphics look nice. Gameplay looks fun. Replayability seems high. I've got one question. WHY SO CHEAP?
