Customer Reviews of Curse of the Undead - Yoma
Truly Dark and Eerie After having thoroughly watched this movie twice, I believe "Blood Reign" achieves exactly what the director intended. Its use of dark colors and shading along with the monotone, eerie music played in the background is perfectly suitable for a horror film. The movie mostly revolves around two characters and focuses mainly on bloody fight scenes with animalistic monsters in order to help evoke fear in the viewers. One main thing I feel is crucially necessary to point out, however, is that the plot is not clearly pointed out but rather hinted at. The plot development is slow yet gradually unfolding, and the movie's abundance of fight scences helps keep the viewer interested until the final climatic battle at the end of the movie. It is also necessary to say that this movie may not be for everyone looking for a good anime because that obviously depends on what type of anime you enjoy. One honestly has to sit down and watch this movie more than once to be able to fully appreciate it. Bottom line: if you're looking for an action-packed anime with an intricate plot and bits of humor, look for something else. However, if you love blood and gore complete with a complex plot, I advise you to check out "Blood Reign" as it is fully worth watching.
Blood Reign, A good work that could have been better...
"And he stood between the dead and the living and the plague was stayed."
Blood Reign is the story of a lone ninja named Hikage, that is traitored by his best freind and is later is sent on a mission to kill him. He meets up with a female ninja and ends up fighting tons of Yomas (Undead monsters)...
But the movie left without a real ending, and without telling the whole story.
I want to know what happened with Marous lover.
What is up with Ayas whole scar on her face and meeting her twice, and her not knowing him...
And what did he do in the two years between movie one and two.
... is it going to happen all over again?
Its a great movie over-all though, with an engrossing plot, great characters, and lots of fight scenes. In fact I think a sequal is called for to wrap the story up and make it a better anime that Akira even.
And just so everyone knows I hate just about all Anime, but this even pleased me. And I've seen a ton of Anime so thats saying something with all the bad Anime out there.
So put Blood Reign to the top!!!!!!!!
Blood Reign- -try and watch it more than once
Blood Reign is the story of a ninja named Hikage, who's searching for his best friend and partner, Marro. In his ventures to find his runaway companion, Hikage is entangled in a world full of spirits called Yoma. I thought the film was really good. More importantly, you kind of have to watch it more than once to see the hints of reincarnation/inescapable destiny in the character of Marro. I like movies that you have to watch more than once to understand; see if you can figure out what I'm talking about.
