With extra-large and small feed tubes, a dough blade, and slicing and shredding discs, this 600-watt food processor represents a respectful update of the Cuisinart machine that first introduced Americans to the joys of food "processing." At 4-1/4 inches by 2-1/2 inches, the large feed tube accommodates whole fruits and vegetables. The small tube handles everything else, including liquids. A 7-cup work bowl, virtually shatterproof and impervious to heat or cold, is the ideal size for most households. The familiar stainless-steel chopping blade has been re-engineered from the original for enhanced effectiveness, and the synthetic dough blade easily kneads up to 1-1/2 pounds of dough. Stainless-steel slicing and shredding discs, a plastic spatula shaped for the work bowl, and a recipe booklet complete the package. Cuisinart warranties the motor against defects for five years and the remaining parts for three years. --Fred Brack

Customer Reviews of Cuisinart DLC-10C Classic Original 7-Cup Food Processor
I'm really sorry they're not making this anymore It looks like theyve stopped making this . . . <

>I received this as a birthday gift a year ago, and I love it. i've used it to make pestos and other sauces, soup, dips, shakes and smoothies, frozen drinks, and even pie crust. I love it. It is easy to operate and store. The only problem is I've washed the bowl and pusher in the dishwasher a couple of times and they've become discolored. I would recommend washing them by hand. Also - the metal blade is SHARP. I dropped it once and it sunk half an inch into my linoleum kitchen floor, and I had to yank it out. <

>This food processor is very easy to use and is hardy. If you can find a used one of this model for a decent price, I highly recommend it.
The Classic is all I need
My mom has had her classic Cuisinart over 20 years... I decided on this model in hopes of having the same luck. So far so good. I really enjoy the product. It's as powerful as I need and does an all around great job. I got mine at Williams & Sonoma and it came with an extra LExan bowl. Major bonus.
