C93's "remix" album, sort-of This album is basically a remixed/re-structured version of "Swastikas For Noddy", their 1987 apocalyptic-folk masterpiece. Personally, I prefer the original (re-issued on CD as "Swastikas For Goddy")...it's a bit more intense, a little rawer, it has a bit of tension and urgency and a schitzo-silliness that makes it more enjoyable. This version ("Crooked", that is) is a little more lush, has cleaner production, more atmospheric electronics in the background. The craziness/silliness has been toned down slightly. A lot of people prefer "Crooked" for that, but I go for schitzoid every time.
