Customer Reviews of Cricket 2004 (PC)
Something about it... I've owned this game for about 9 months and I have this to say about it. <
> <
>High Points <
>1) Has a very good camera feature. You can see any delivery from many angles. <
> <
>2) Has a good number of tours. <
> <
>3) Has all the professional teams. <
> <
>Low Points <
>1) When you save games and then load them, they are not the same way you left them. The players in the match are switched with other players. This is a VERY VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM and I can't see how the makers could have possibly overlooked this. <
> <
>2) There are a limited number of player faces. Chanderpaul has Sarwan's face. <
> <
>3) Sometimes after playing the game for long periods of time it ends without warning. <
> <
>4) The gameplay has much to be desired. <
> <
>5) The graphics need fine tuning. Especially when fielders are catching. <
> <
>6) There is no feature for creating your own team from scratch. <
> <
>7) It costs more than it looks because the keyboard is only 1 controller you then have to buy game pads. <
> <
>After saying all of that you're probably saying how comes you gave a whole 3. Well despite all of its flaws there is something addictive about the game. I guess its because I'm a diehard cricket fan. On that note diehard cricket fans should still adore this game.
Almost .... wait for Brian Lara Cricket or EA Cricket 2005
Gameplay -- 7/10 = frustrating to see losing every game due to some silly AI. However, its moderately fun in short bursts
<
>Graphics -- 6/10 = lots of missing frames. fielders take catches on balls thats nowhere near them etc.
<
>Sounds -- 7/10 = Commentary -- set to mute. Utterly useless and inaccurate. Sounds FX -- good. bat striking ball, ball in fielders hands, wicketkeeprs gloves etc. sound authentic.
<

<
>All in all a fun game for short sessions but prepare to get frustrated if you really get into it.
<
>Best bet -- wait for Summer 2005 for the next version
