Superb Features- with all the dependability of an Edsel I was given a black 5GB Zen Micro as a gift roughly two monthes ago. I was immediately impressed by the ease of organizing and downloading music, the user friendly interface, the small size, and the effective lighting of the player. I continued to have nothing but praise for it until about two or three weeks later. Then, in the middle of a song, it suddenly stopped playing and I was greeted with an ear splitting buzz. I could not shut off the player, so I removed the battery. A few minutes later, I tried to restart it- and it froze on the introduction screen. After numerous attempts to get it to work, I finally put it into recovery mode and attempted to perform every possibile "solution". I managed to correct the issue, but I lost all of my songs. I still thought highly of the player, until just the other day. After recharging it, I was greeted with the same problem when attempting to turn on the player. It would always freeze on the second introduction screen. This time, I have not managed to remedy the problem- and an email to customer service just resulted in a reply in broken English. Apparently, it's been outsourced- which doesn't help matters at all. I am not happy at all, and am currently seeking a refund or the closest thing to it that Creative will give me. It's still under warranty- and has never been abused or excessively used. I am hoping to resolve this whole dilemma within less than a week, as I've been planning to use the mp3 player on a vacation coming up- and I will be more than mildly upset if I am without music or entertainment on a ten hour flight because Creative Labs cannot make a reliable product.

Zen Micro: Won't Kill the Ipod (Too Many Fans, Unfortunately)
I am over 13, I'm just too lazy to sign up. I researched for an mp3 player for over two months. The main ones that I looked at were the Rio Carbon, the Ipod Mini, the Dell DJ Pocket and the Zen Micro. After a lot of comparing, I decided to get the Zen Micro. After a week of waiting, it finally came in the mail. When I first got it, I was mad. The touchpad was extremely annoying. After a while (about 30 minutes), I began to figure out how it worked. It is extremely easy to use once you figure out how to use it. As for putting music onto the device, it is really simple. You can use most music programs to do it (I use WMP10). Battery life is good, but I have never ran out, so I cannot give a good estimate.
