Creative Labs designed this Surround speaker system specifically for use with PlayStation2 machines. The speakers can be connected instantly, via optical SPDIF or coaxial cables, so you can set up quickly and enjoy Dolby Digital surround sound games and movies. The system's Creative Multi Speaker Surround (CMSS) upmixes the stereo sources, and the system lets you experience surround sound on Microsoft DirectSound 3D and EAX–enhanced games when you're connected to the Sound Blaster Live! series of sound cards. In addition to independent controls for source, effects, volume and power (8 LEDs provide visible indication), you'll also enjoy connectivity for games consoles, DVD, MD, CD and Digital Audio/MP3 players.

Good buy
These were the first pair of speakers I bought and i was impressed with the quality with it in games. But in movies, these speakers seem to always have trouble with dialog and it doesnt have a high volume setting. The good thing is that it creates that "virtual" 5.1 surround sound feel and it does a good job at it - in conjuction with the subwoofer. In my opinion, I think these speakers were really made for games and not for movies (as creative boldly says).
