Customer Reviews of Cradle 'N Comfort Tub
baby likes it and that's good enough for us My husband wanted this one because he liked that it was "soft," while I was concerned about the inconvenience of washing and drying the terrycloth cushion. Turns out we were both right. Baby seems content in the tub (no slipping around), although she does slide to the bottom a little (such is gravity), so you still have to be careful. Cleaning up isn't awful, but it's not as easy as rinsing out a plastic tub would be. Overall, we're satisfied if the baby is, and she seems to like it. <
>I DO want to add that we thought this would be a perfect place for the pre-umbilical-stump-falling-off sponge baths, but it turns out we never even took it out of the packaging before her first "real" bath. As it happens, a towel slung over her changing pad worked just as well (maybe better), so if you're considering this tub because of it's sponge bath benefits only, I wouldn't bother
Sure it's soft, but...
I registered for this tub after reading and relying on many of the rave reviews this tub has received- what a mistake! Sure, it's nice and soft, but after my daughter's umbilical cord fell off and I was no longer just sponge bathing her in an empty tub (p.s. baby will still slide down to the bottom even with the soft terry cushion- there is no formed seat to hold baby up)I found that this tub did not fit in my kitchen sink, and you cannot drain the tub and add fresh water to rinse your baby during a bath- the drain plug is not accessable while you are cradling your baby in all that softness- I found that to be funny. Go out and get your baby the basic infant to toddler tub for $16.99. He/she will enjoy bathtime just as much and you'll find bathtime to be much easier- oh, and there'll be no soft cushion to rinse out and wash after every few baths!
Love It!!
I really liked this tub I used it from the newborn stage till my son was around 14-15 months andcould bath in the big tub by himself. I liked that it had fabric instead of the hard plastic and he was always very comfy in it. I never had any problems with the musty smell, after bath time I just hung the liner from the shower head to dry. Its also nice cause you can put it on the counter next to a sink or in the bathtub when they are older which helps with the transition to the big tub.
