Customer Reviews of Cover Girl Murders
Think of this as "Ten Little Indians" meets "Playboy" The premise here (believe me, "premise" is a much more accurate word than "story") is that Rex Kingman (Lee Majors) is having financial trouble with his magazine "Image." So he flies his editor, Kate (Jennifer O'Neil) and his top models to an isolated island paradise for a photo shoot that will save the day. But Rex is tempting fate big time. Not only does he hit on Kate's young sister Rachel (Vanessa Angel), he bullies everyone until one of the models is killed doing one of his stupid little stunts. This is the not the last death on their little island of fun as the killer goes after the lovely ladies. Now before you reduce this film down to pure eye candy in the form of Beverly Johnson, Bobbie Phillips and Fawna MacLaren (all of whom would be lucky to grow up to look like Jennifer O'Neill), I should point out that the actual murders of the cover girls makes a concerted effort to rip off Agatha Christie's "Ten Little Indians." Fortunately, given the audience for this film, that dead give away will not spoil the "whodunnit" aspects of "The Cover Girl Murders." This film actually has some decent moments of suspense, but none of them when Majors is on screen.
