Very happy with our Cosco car seats
I love our Cosco car seat. I have no trouble adjusting the straps to fit my children. You simply place your child in the seat and pull the strap at the bottom until snuggly fit. I think the previous review was too harsh on the ease of this car seat. <

>I am pleased that the arms do not swivel or move because I am certain my children would find a way to pinch thier hands or skin while folding them up. The cup holder has been great for my son who loves to travel with a sippy cup of water and has no trouble putting the cup in the holder by himself. <

>When I had my daughter and tried to get my son a regular booster and use his old Cosco seat for her, he gave me such a hard time about losing his seat that I had to purchase another seat just like it. One to keep him happy in his favorite seat, and one to keep me happy in a brand I can trust. <

Awful. Safe, but awful to use.
The entire Cosco Booster line is a useability nightmare. Yes, these are safe seats and they will protect your little ones. They break down into essential pieces for easy cleaning if needed and there is a LATCH system in place. However, there are two problems, actually three, that should warn you off sufficiently. <

>One, adjusting the LATCH straps is far too difficult for 99% of the population. A degree in mathematics is the only reason I was able to figure out how to ease tension in one plane while increasing it in another. Advanced physics should not be required to make a strap tighter. The ceiling/ top strap is the worst offender by far. The lower strap has a push-button release that, under the kind of tension required to keep the seat properly tightened, does not open without the help of pliers. In contrast, the Graco line has simpler tensioners that anyone can work. <

>B) Straps for keeping your son or daughter in the seat are a mess to properly tension. You can loosen them, but not easily balance them without removing the seat! Tightening them may or may not tighten all of them or some of them; the tensioner here requires one hand to operate, the other to pull the strap, but you'd better be in a minivan because facing the seat is the only way to really get it correct. The top setting is also grossly deficient for tall kids who are still under two. <

>Finally, the arms don't move, unlock, swivel, or otherwise leave the premises or change position. Cheap design decision means your child needs to learn to climb into this from the front, not the side, and woe to those of you installing this in a wagon. So disappointing. By the way, the cup holder is useless. <

>Do not buy this or any Cosco booster like it. Even if the arms swivel, those straps are a nightmare. Check out the Graco line and see the difference. Graco is equally rated as safe, but you can actually use it. <
